Please be advised that the previously issued Boil Advisory has been rescinded. It is no longer necessary for customers to boil water for human consumption (including, drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation)

Again, the boil advisory has been rescinded. The water sample results from the laboratory confirmed that your water continues to be safe and you no longer have to boil your water.

Boil Water Advisory for Airport Rd., Winding Trail, Lavender, Maro, Sandpiper, Highland, Cardinal, Whisper Grove and Windsong – ONLY

Due to the loss of power in the neighborhood a Boil Advisory is in effect because of the drop-in water pressure which may increase the potential for back siphonage and the introduction of bacteria into the water system.  No problem has been detected in the water; however, as a precautionary measure, the Division of Water Resources advises that when water is restored consumers boil all water used for human consumption (including, drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation) or bottled water is advised. The North Carolina Division of Water Resources Public Water Supply Section has been contacted concerning this event.

Vigorous boiling for one minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.

Customers will be notified by a second phone notification message once the Boil Advisory has been rescinded.

Whispering Pines – Voluntary Water Consumption for July 2019

Due to lower than normal supply of water from our provider, Southern Pines,  Carolina Water Service, Inc. of North Carolina, has asked that our Whispering Pines customers suspend the use of irrigation systems and hose-end sprinklers from Thursday, July 3rd  through Monday, July 8th to ensure reliable water supply for July 4th Weekend.

Carolina Water Service, Inc. of North Carolina customers are encouraged  to employ voluntary water conservation due to increased demand and hot, dry weather.

Annual Flushing April 8 to April 19, 2019

Whispering Pines Subdivision.
We would like to advise customers of the Routine flushing taking place in your area beginning Monday April the 8th, 2019 with completion expected on Friday, April 19th, 2019.
Beginning each morning at approximately 9 am with completion expected by 4 pm every afternoon.
Flushing is done periodically as a preventative maintenance measure to ensure the best possible water quality.
 
While we do not anticipate any problems or inconveniences, customers may experience brief periods of lower than normal water pressure, possible cloudy water and/or temporary discoloration. As a precaution, we recommend customers postpone laundry washing until the flushing has been completed and the water returns to normal each day.
 
Service should return to normal after flushing is complete, however, if you continue to experience any problems, please contact our customer service department at 1-800-525-7990.

Beware of Scam Calls in Whispering Pines

It has come to our attention that someone is calling Carolina Water Service, Inc. of North Carolina customers in Whispering Pines threatening to disconnect service unless a payment is made via phone.

At no time will CWSNC call a customer and require a payment on the phone.

Never give your banking information over the phone, your debit card number and pin number, or your credit card.
